Christiana Popoola will be attending North Carolin Christiana Popoola will be attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Her major is nursing. She has always had a nurturing spirit and an interest to help other people's well-being. She also chose her major because it's an industry that she can grow in and have lots of development opportunities.  She would like to eventually become a midwife. The #CAP Program has made applying to and choosing a college easier for her because of all the information that has been provided.  The #CAP committee is so proud of you!

Jayla Thornton is attending Xavier University of L Jayla Thornton is attending Xavier University of Louisiana. Her major is pre-medicine. She would like to specialize in sports medicine. Her most memorable #CAP moment was the historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) panel. This was her first time hearing about attending a HBCU. The #CAP committee is so proud of you!

Aaron Hudson is a #CAP Scholar and will be attendi Aaron Hudson is a #CAP Scholar and will be attending North Carolina A&T State University. He enjoyed the HBCU round table talk, which included a panel of current HBCU students. The #CAP committee is so proud of you!

Jaya Russell will be attending the University of I Jaya Russell will be attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her major is communication. She has chosen this major because she feels like it will help her to advance her skills in this subject.  Her most memorable moment during her  #CAP experience is when our zoom meeting was hacked. It showed her that people can abuse something that is meant to be positive and turn it into a negative. She would like to be a part of communication outlets in a positive way, keeping safety as a priority.  The #CAP committee is so proud of you!

Jace S. Lightfoot has decided on her top three col Jace S. Lightfoot has decided on her top three colleges, which are Tennessee State University, Kankakee Community College and Harris-Stowe State University. Her major is nursing because she has always had a passion for caring for others and helping them feel better. Her most memorable #CAP moment is the FAFSA workshop. She enjoyed receiving all of the important information that was provided and was able to understand the process, after attending the workshop. The #CAP committee is so proud of you!

Saniah S. Stewart will attend Tennessee State Univ Saniah S. Stewart will attend Tennessee State University. Her major is criminal justice. She would like to pursue a career as a criminal defense lawyer. She wants to help impact major issues, including police brutality and systemic racism. She wanted to be a voice for those that do not know their rights. She would also like to educate others about their rights. Her most memorable moment in#CAP was when she made hygiene bags for the homeless. It made her feel happy, that she got to help people that cannot afford the items that were provided to them. The #CAP committee is so proud of you!
