The ladies of Lambda Tau Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated are proud to welcome you to our website! This site will provide you with information about our sorority, chapter history, and community based programs and events. These programs are designed to serve the needs of Chicago’s south suburban community. Feel free to browse.

We are proud members of the Confident, Classy, Compassionate, and Charismatic Central Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Our membership is comprised of over 134 college trained and educated women, from diverse backgrounds and professions, who share a common desire and willingness to work together in service to our community. We are actively involved in implementing our national program, Launching New Dimensions of Service, under the direction of our International President, Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson. Through these targets, we are making a meaningful difference in the lives of people in our community by: helping young women to become better leaders, providing information about health issues, helping to eradicate poverty, educating our community on economic issues, and making better leaders in our chapter.

In 2015, we will continue with existing projects under the banner of our national program and develop new projects. Our goal is to achieve excellence and to continue to be valued and trusted community resources. We strive to be supreme in service to all mankind.

Within this website, you will also find information regarding our social and fundraiser events. We are confident you will find the information both interesting and inspiring. Please visit this site frequently for updates regarding our activities and programs. You can also email us at info@ltoaka.org with questions or comments.

We extend a warm welcome to members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated new to the Chicagoland area, and invite you to join us for our chapter meeting on the second Saturday of each month.
